I’ve been sketching and painting since I was a teen and loved my illustration courses in college. However, a major in graphic design is what landed me a job and career. It wasn’t until years later I picked up a brush again and have not stopped painting since!

Not long after getting married, I thought it would be fun to do an illustration of my bridal gown. After it was displayed in an art show, a workplace peer and asked me to do a painting of her wedding gown too. I happily accepted her request and that was the moment I realized my passion for creating such memorable pieces of art.

And so marykellydesigns began!

In addition to bridal gown portraits, it’s become my livelihood to illustrate fashion, nature, pets, and subjects that speak from the heart. Head on over to illustrations to view some samplings.

Creating a children’s book was a true labor of love. My spunky pup, Sprinkles, was the inspiration behind it, and it’s a dream to be able to share this work with the world.
